Raila apology to the Kalenjin Nation and its effects

Prime minister Raila Odinga visit to Ngata farm in Nakuru county yesterday (10/29/12) brought with it a new day in Prime ministers days in politics. Raila apologized three times to the Kalenjin nation. In his own words on the clip below Raila stated " Kama mimi nimefanya makosa kwa mtu yoyote mimi ni binadamu, naomba msamaha". ( If i have done any mistake to anybody, am human and i ask for forgiveness).

The big question, why did Raila apologize? Apologies For what?

Raila statement will raise a lot of concern and his words in this context might be taken to refer to Ruto  case in the ICC. The prime minister has always supported the ICC but by the look on how events have been turning, i smell a change.  The recent visit by Kofi Annan and Bensouda must have revealed what many people already suspected, there was too much political drama with ICC case as some politicians chose to fix other politicians.  It will be interesting to see how Ruto and the Hague six swallow those apologies. Hopefully Raila will also apologize to the other communities, desperate times calls for desperate measures.
